Commencer Encore

Commencer  Encore is Michael and the band's third commercially released record.  Represented in the cover photo by the Crocus popping out from the ice and snow, Commencer Encore is French for "Begin Again". It  is perhaps Michael and the band's finest hours of musicianship and  performance captured.

The guys venture into new territory here, with everything from Michael's growling Les Paul guitar crunches and Marshall amplifiers, to light melodies with cellos, orchestral  strings and airy acoustic guitars.
 

This record has several songs that feature Michael not only as a  guitarist and vocalist, but as a budding pianist, from the opening bars  of "Bring on the Rain" and the powerful chords of "4 AM" to the beautiful instrumental, "No More Goodbyes". This record has a little  bit of everything and something for everyone.

Interestingly,  this is the first record that the boys have done, where everyone who  worked on this project agree that each song is fantastic. The guys were especially thankful for being joined in the  studio by UK newcomer, Geoff Steele, who produced a smooth and bluesy  lead guitar part in "Not Far Away".
